Fayette County Hospital and Long Term Care Auxiliary has been in working hard at the hospital since the mid
1950’s.
Auxiliary members provide a wide range of services for the hospital. Some jobs require walking while others are
more stationary. Your job will be consistent with your abilities and interests.
Duties include: running errands, transporting patients, assisting visitors at
the information desk, performing clerical work, helping with fundraisers,
delivering flowers and mail to hospital patients and Long Term Care residents,
working in the gift shop and/or working in the surgical waiting room.
Since its inception, Auxiliary members have supported the hospital through fund raising, community service projects and social events. Members promote the health and welfare of the county by helping to defray the cost of hospital equipment and facilities. The Auxiliary is open to men and women of all ages. A yearly dues of $2.00 is collected. Women wear pink smocks and men wear red vests. The meetings are the first Tuesday of every month held in the conference room at the hospital beginning at 12 noon.If you would like to volunteer as an Auxiliary member, please contact the information desk at the hospital. 283-1232 Ext. 129.
